| HM Labelling A/S buys Strålfors Collamat AG

As part of a strategy of being among the leading global actors within labelling machines and system solutions, HM Labelling A/S in Vojens has bought Strålfors Collamat AG in Switzerland from the Swedish public limited company Strålfors per 1st January 2006.
Strålfors Collamat AG, which has an annual turnover of app. 35 MDKK and has 26 employees, develops, produces, and markets standard labelling machines. 85% of the company’s turnover goes to export.
Strålfors Collamat AG changes its name per 1st January 2006 to Collamat AG and enters into HM Group together with HM Labelling A/S. The present director of Strålfors Collamat AG, Steen Kreinbrink, with the 26 employees all continue in Collamat AG.
Through the years Strålfors Collamat AG has build a very strong international market position with the brand “Collamat®”. The product programme from Collamat AG in Switzerland will therefore also in future be marketed as “Swiss modular labellers” with the brand “Collamat®”.¨
With the acquisition of Strålfors Collamat AG HM Group expects to gain an appreciable synergy effect in the two companies, e.g. in relation to development, production, and marketing. The combination of Collamat’s and HM Labelling’s product programmes ensures the customers the market’s broadest programme within labelling machines and advanced IT technology.
“We have had great success with our special developed and patent pending HM Linerfree® Systems which uses self-adhesive labelling paper without a liner”, says director Hans Jensen, HM Labelling A/S. “The paper is utilised 100% and one avoids handling of waste which has shown in some cases to lead to savings of up to 30% of the total labelling costs. With the acquisition of Collamat AG we now get access to dealers on more than 35 export markets instead of the app. 10 we have today. This is of great importance for a number of our big international customers who this way are ensured the same efficient labelling systems and service world-wide”, Hans Jensen ends.
HM Group which comprises the companies HM Labelling A/S and Collamat AG is an innovative customer oriented company which develops, produces, services, and markets a complete product programme and customer specific system solutions within labelling to the home market as well as export.
